My stay at Chelan Homestay was a bit of a mixed bag. the location was quite convenient, being close to BFC and within walking distance of Yuyuan Garden. The beds in the room were comfortable and the view from the window was great. The staff I interacted with were excellent and provided me with a free upgrade to a single room when there was a mix-up with my reservation. The hot showers in the room were a welcome relief from the cold winter weather. The filtered water available in the communal kitchen was a nice touch.

Excellent location in a private residence area with stunning city views, including the Bund and Yuyuan garden. Two minutes walk to the Bund and full skyline view. Clean and well-equipped rooms for short and long stays. Friendly staff and helpful Mandarin writing in confirmation email for easy navigation.

I recently stayed at a lovely homestay in Shanghai for three nights. The location was perfect, close to the Huangpu River and within walking distance to The Bund and Yuyuan Gardens. The staff was excellent and the room was comfortable with a great view of the city from the 29th floor. The hot showers were a delight and the communal kitchen was adequate. I really enjoyed the rooftop terrace with its amazing view and the opportunity to meet new people. a great place to stay!
Would recommend this hotel.

Located in the heart of the city, this homestay offers a great base to explore Shanghai. With several metro stations nearby and easy access to the Bund, it's a convenient choice for travelers. The rooms provide comfortable beds and some even offer stunning views of the city. Additionally, the communal kitchen and laundry facilities are useful amenities for guests.
The communication with the host and the check-in process can be challenging, leading to potential frustration for guests.

Conveniently located in a private residential area, this 29th floor accommodation offers splendid views of the city. Just a short walk from popular attractions like the Bund and Yuyuan garden, it is well-suited for both short and long stays. The bed is clean and the staff, while lacking English proficiency, are friendly and helpful. The confirmation email, with Mandarin instructions, proves useful in finding the place.

During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the stunning view from the 29th floor of the hotel. I could see the beautiful city skyline, including parts of the Bund and the Yuyuan garden. It was truly breathtaking. Additionally, the hotel's location was unbeatable. It was only a 2-minute walk to the Bund, allowing me to easily explore the area and enjoy the full skyline view. Furthermore, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable.
There were a few downsides to my experience. the bathroom and toilets could have been better maintained.
